Tomorrow marks the end of the first six weeks. Just wanted to take a moment to make a couple of important announcements:
*6th grade AP students have an in class project that they have been working on the last 2 class periods. Any projects not yet completed are to be completed in addition to their homework and are due at the beginning of class tomorrow. The students have been making great strides in working with decimals and applying those operations to real world scenarios. They will have a test tomorrow in place of their Friday quiz that covers GCF/LCM, distributive property, and decimal operations.
*6th Grade Honors students are currently working to multiply decimal numbers and will move on to dividing decimal numbers next week. We will finish out station activity tomorrow and will have a unit test in place of our Friday quiz.
***GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENT:
I am happy to offer students the opportunity to do quiz corrections and retests, however these are things that need to be done and taken care of as soon as students become aware of the scores. I am having many students come to me in a panic the last day or two of the grading period wanting to make up several quizzes. Due to time constraints and scheduling it is not feasible to expect to be able to squeeze in that many teacher meetings and retests in a couple of short days. Please make sure that parents and students are checking student/parent portal weekly for the most up to date grades so that we can make sure standards are recovered as soon as possible. Thanks for your help in making corrections and retests a more smooth operation.
